Marcos JR. supports the genocide in Palestine

Malaya Movement USA is proud to endorse the National March on Washington for Palestine alongside over 300+ organizations, the largest march for Palestine in U.S. history. Our members mobilized alongside over 300 Filipinos in the Filipinos4Palestine contingent as a show of our firm commitment and support for the people of Palestine who are fighting for liberation and sovereignty amidst fascist oppression, violent zionist settler colonial occupation, and genocide.

We recognize and condemn the complicity of our very own government under fascist Marcos Jr. who has remained tight-lipped on the genocidal acts by the occupying Israeli forces who’ve orchestrated the murder of over 9,488 people, including 3,900 children, while injuring at least 24,158. Now 29 days into the siege on Gaza, Israel has dropped over 25,000 tons of bombs, equivalent to 2 nuclear bombs, and has committed an unfathomable amount of war crimes in the form of collective punishment, the forced transfer of Palestinians, and indiscriminate bombing of hospitals, churches, schools, homes, and refugee camps.

It is shameful but unsurprising to bear witness to the abstention by the Philippines during the United Nations vote to call for a cease-fire since the Philippines is the third largest buyer of Israeli weapons, and Israel is a labor receiving country of overseas Filipino workers. Marcos Jr. is falling in line with the United States’ unwavering position of aiding ethnic cleansing.

Marcos Jr. not only has the blood of Palestinians on his hands, but is also complicit in the killing of 4 overseas Filipino workers who reside in Palestine. He continues the very policies his father, dictator Marcos Sr., put in place during the deadly martial law years which institutionalized the forced migration of millions out of the country for work. The trail of blood from Marcos Sr. to Marcos Jr. is clear.

When fascism rears its ugly head, it is critical that we build a genuine solidarity movement to expose those who are responsible for the immense suffering. As an organization that upholds the principles of human rights, democracy, and sovereignty in our homeland, it is our duty to stand in solidarity with those who are fighting for the same in Palestine and all over the world.
