Duterte arrested for crimes against humanity!
After years of violence, impunity and 30,000+ lives lost, Duterte’s ICC arrest is a critical step towards justice and accountability for the victims of Duterte’s war on drugs. His fascist rule left a lasting impact on Philippine society, and he and his murderous cronies must all be held to account for their crimes against the Filipino people.
We are cautiously optimistic about this recent development but will remain vigilant given the political instability this will no doubt cause, especially leading up to the 2025 Philippine Midterm Elections.
We want to uplift the tireless efforts of the families and people’s lawyers and organizations who refused to let Duterte escape accountability. The fight is not over and we are steadfast in our commitment to seek justice.
